My Week in Review 2/9/24
It was a tiring week. It’s like I’m back to having a full-time job again. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I did watch one movie and finished one book this week.
Life
I was at the school Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and I will be back this afternoon after working at the farm this morning. I might sleep all weekend.
The one day I wasn’t at the school, I was at the farm in the morning. My son was over for dinner that night and then we watched the Kentucky game on delay after that. Did I mention that I’m tired?
I had one day at school where someone saw me and said “It’s my favorite sub” and then I had a day at school where a kid was visibly unhappy to see me as their sub. I’ve had the unhappy student two more times this week. They still don’t like me.
It seems likely that one of our cats has diabetes. We are awaiting confirmation from the vet. That means daily shots coming soon. Fun.
Movies
I was browsing the movie channels Sunday afternoon when we needed something to watch and found Tropic Thunder. I loved the movie, my wife didn’t remember it and my daughter had never heard of it. So, we watched it. I still loved it. The cast is great. Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr were the best of the group. I loved the Tom Cruise role and wish he would do more things like that instead of action movies. My daughter also enjoyed it.
