My Week in Review 7/12/24

It was my first week at home after a week of visiting family. I don’t think I watched a movie. I did finish one book.

Life

The time immediately following a family visit it always a little hard. Going from all four of us together and other family always around to back home and mostly alone all day can be jarring.

I was supposed to start my evening shifts at the farm this week. I arrived only to discover the barn was closing at 5 and no one told me. It was very hot so I was happy to go home.

No one has taken my vacated Friday morning shift. I’m trying not to volunteer to fill in even though I indicated I could until school starts. I will do it if asked, but everyone, including me. needs to eventually get used to me not being there in the morning.

I finally bought my Amtrak tickets to do a day in NYC in October.

It has been very hot here so I have stayed inside as much as possible.

TV News and Views

Wendy Malick will be a series regular on Night Court next season as the new prosecutor. I liked the person she is replacing, but I’m sure the show will be better with her as a regular.

We are watching Race to Survive: New Zealand and it was teased from the beginning that a rule was broken. We finally got to that episode. It was mentioned that they could not kill and eat some of the birds that were around. A team did it anyway and was removed from the race…
