My Week in Review 7/5/24

This will be a very quick week in review post while most of the other people in the house are asleep. Once the 6 other people with me are all awake there will be no chance I can write.

Life

This is our “visit family” week of the summer. The first part of the week was with my MIL. Now we are with my brother and his family.

I’ve done more hiking this week than expected.

I’ve eaten in restaurants more than I expected.

It has been a good visit so far.

TV

I haven’t watched much TV or paid attention to the TV news. I did watch House of the Dragon while others played cards. I saw some people saying it was a boring episode. I don’t get that. I thought it was very good. You don’t need battles and dragons every episode.

Books

I finished two books this week.

Unlikely Animals by Annie Hartnett — Emma Starling comes back home to New Hampshire because her father is ill. She was born with the ability to heal but has lost that and her drive to become a doctor. Her dad was a professor who now has memory issues and sees the ghost of Ernest Harold Baynes. There is also a missing person case involving Emma’s best friend from childhood.
