My Week in Review 7/26/24

Another blur of a summer week is gone. I did watch one movie(kind of) and finish one book this week.

Life

I still haven’t worked my new regular Tuesday evening shift at the farm. The regular lessons are canceled this week for camp week so I was back on my old Tuesday morning shift instead.

They still haven’t found anyone to replace me on Friday mornings. I’ve been covering them for them but I only have a handful left before I won’t be available.

We’ve gone from hot and dry to a week with rounds of heavy rain. I guess I will be mowing again soon.

I went to a new church this week. As I was leaving, I noticed one of the greeters holding the door and saying goodbye to people was wearing a MAGA hat and one of those fake ear bandages. As I said on Facebook — if you are going to church cosplaying as your favorite politician the focus of your worship is not in the right direction.

Movies

We watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare this week. I let myself get distracted a lot during the movie so I couldn’t tell you much about it. It was a good cast and my family seemed to like it. I liked the parts I actually watched, but I guess I wasn’t in a movie mood that day.

Television

We are watching the first part of the last season of Cobra Kai. Every time it shifts to the Kreese story I lose interest a little. Why can’t we just have a season of the kids training…
