My Week in Review 8/9/24

We started the week with more extreme heat and we are ending it with the remnants of a tropical storm. I was happy to have the Olympics to keep me occupied when I didn’t want to leave the house. Here is the week.

Life

I mowed on Monday before it got too hot. I’m not a fan of mowing, but I’m glad we got enough rain for the grass to grow. My weedeater part arrived so I was able to get that part done as well.

We took the goats to a preschool on Tuesday afternoon. I was the one who had to try to keep control of the big goat while the other two had the babies. I then did my normal barn shift. I was exhausted when I got home.

The newer employees at Panera have now seen me enough that one of them just handed me a coffee cup without ringing it up this week. I just got three more months of the sip club at a very discounted rate so they will see more of me.

Movies

My daughter saw the “I have a very particular set of skills” clip from Taken recently and had never seen the movie. It is on Max so we watched it this weekend. She was appalled at how easy the daughter made it for the kidnappers. She did seem to like the movie. She’s not usually a big action fan.

Television

The only thing I watched this week that was not the Olympics was the season finale of House of the Dragon. I usually disagree with the people who rush to social media to make sure everyone knows they didn’t like a show. This…
